Painted exclusively for Glyndebourne Festival 2001, this is one of six rare posters printed from Adam Birtwistle’s paintings that reflect the six composers of the productions staged that year.

This poster, depicting a tempera and gouache painting of composer Benjamin Britten, was produced to coincide with Glyndebourne’s staging of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Adam Birtwistle was also the Glyndebourne programme cover artist for 2001.
