Painted exclusively for Glyndebourne Festival 2001, this is one of six rare posters printed from Adam Birtwistle’s paintings that reflect the six composers of the productions staged that year.
This poster, depicting a tempera and gouache painting of composer Giuseppe Verdi, was produced to coincide with Glyndebourne’s staging of Otello.
Adam Birtwistle was also the Glyndebourne programme cover artist for 2001.
