Glyndebourne Festival 2001 The Makropulos Case Poster by Adam Birtwistle

Painted exclusively for Glyndebourne Festival 2001, this is one of six rare posters printed from Adam Birtwistle’s paintings that reflect the six productions staged that year.

This poster, depicting a tempera and gouache painting of composer Leoš Janáček, was produced to coincide with Glyndebourne’s staging of The Makropulos Case.

Adam Birtwistle was also the Glyndebourne programme cover artist for 2001.
